The citizens of this Town have entrusted you to stand up and do the right thing, unlike the the former 1st. Please do not let us down!!! Initiate a REAL investigation into the corruption at the PD and perhaps an investigation by the CT Bar Assoc. into the actions of our former attorney. We may be able to recoup some of our losses from this man who robbed us blind. The news indicates that he is now up to his same old games in the town of Branford, this man must be stopped. As for the PD issues, Ricciuti’s and Hedges’ lawsuits are a good place to start. Perhaps the evidence that these illegally terminated officers have is enough to truly clean up the PD.
We continue to seek out the TRUTH ABOUT MADISON and are in great appreciation of the one who organized the institution of this site as well as all of the fact finders who have provided valuable information over the course of the past several months. We seek to maintain a respectable blog and ask that all posters exercise due diligence in providing the truth in a responsible manner.

The citizens of Madison have spoken. The actions, or in many cases lack of action, by Al Goldberg was not unnoticed. People can see it and the poll numbers speak for themselves. Pretending obvious problems do not exist is not a good way to lead a town government. Hopefully our new 1st Selectman will not make the same mistakes.
INFORMATION IS NEEDED ASAP ON THE MEMBERS OF THE CHIEF’S SELECTION PANEL
We need everyone to find out anything and everything they can about these guys, especially Ambrogio. Post it in the blog or e-mail it to truthaboutmadison@gmail.com. Supporting documentation or newspaper articles from back in the day would be great as well. This is critically important and will be posted up on the front page of TaM. The town has to know about these guys. Please, find out whatever you can!

Same smokescreen, different headlines
After two years of nonsense, the town of Madison is taking applications for a new REAL police chief. At first glance, this may seem like an obvious step in the right direction. BUT wait, there’s more! Guess who is managing the search for a new chief and making the decisions??? THE SAME PEOPLE THAT MANY BELIEVE CAUSED THE PROBLEMS IN THE FIRST PLACE! This is just another example of the fox guarding the hen house.
A chief’s panel, made up of three recently retired chiefs of police, and chaired by Nolan, will recommend candidates. Those candidates will be reviewed by the Personnel Search Committee, which will be composed of the members of the Board of Police Commissioners, Geisenheimer said. Members of the Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance — Republicans and Democrats — will serve on the committee as ex-officio members and be involved in the interview process, Geisenheimer said. The Board of Police Commissioners will make the final appointment.
Does anyone else see a major problem here?? Geisenheimer and most of his colleagues on the police commission are the ones many believe are directly responsible for the abuse and harassment of countless good police officers, covering for the misdeeds of certain complicit supervisors, and costing the town millions of dollars in settlements and law suits. Nolan who is the chairman of the panel is believed to be just as complicit as the commissioners in this mess that they’ve created.
Rumor now has it that Nolan is working on getting one of his buddies from his former job in as the new chief. If this is true, then this entire hiring process may be nothing but a sham and cover-up to make it look like they are actually trying to find the best and most qualified candidate. Many would find this not the least bit surprising as that is how Nolan and the police commission have been doing business since this began two years ago.
THERE WILL BE A PUBLIC MEETING FOR CITIZENS TO DISCUSS THIS PROCESS. A DATE/TIME HAS NOT BEEN POSTED YET. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT EVERY ONE OF YOU READING THIS THAT ARE TIRED OF IT AND WANT THIS NONSENSE TO END COME TO THIS MEETING AND MAKE YOUR FEELINGS KNOWN!!
The citizens of Madison are the only ones that make this process work correctly by having a constant oversight and watchful eye on these people running it. If they’re allowed to run off without anyone caring, it will never end.
A VICTORY FOR THE GOOD GUYS!
The first of many victories to come! Sgt. Heiden was one of the first officers unjustly terminated by the Police Commission and supervisor witch hunt. After being a Sgt. on the night for only a short while, they decided this would be a perfect opportunity to get rid of him by laying blame for years of problems on him. He, like the others the police Gestapo are meddling with, has an exemplary employment record and was a great cop for the Town of Madison. But despite all that, he was axed. Sgt. Heiden fought back and has won the battle. On Friday 7/24/09, he won his settlement, he won his job back, and he won his retirement! All of which are rightfully and fully deserved!

Looks like Lt Allen Gerard (the IA investigator…) is once again deserving congratulations. In addition to winning multiple dirt bike race despite being injured and unable to work, he has managed to pull off the Madison Rotary Club’s police officer of the year award! AMAZING! For someone who spent nearly half the year NOT WORKING, it is incredible that the police department’s upper management still decided Lt Gerard was the only officer worthy of this award. It is becoming increasingly difficult to decide what is the most disturbing and ridiculous of all the things taking place at 9 Campus Drive. This must however rank in the top 10 most ridiculous things ever. And it wreaks of damage control and cover-up.
Lt O’Conner was Officer Ricciuti’s supervisor for 15 months. Her performance was exemplary and without a single complaint. But this was COMPLETELY IGNORED by the lying and conniving supervisors that were out to get her for exposing their corruption and refusing the play their games.
Lt Dobbin, whom the entire internal affairs investigation and termination is based upon, was her supervisor for, ready for this….. FIVE DAYS. Lt Dobbin and his other corrupt supervisor buddies, assisted by the swindling former attorney and Beach Club buddies on the police commission ended her career to protect themselves. They intentionally ignored the 8 months of exemplary employment to help create this story about why they fired her.
They had to move so quickly to avoid repercussions and any chance of rebuttal. In five days Lt Dobbin became her supervisor, they schemed up this plan to fire her, put it in motion behind closed doors of the Police Commission executive session, and acted upon it with no hearing, no notice, and no defense.

Officer Ricciuti, after being wrongfully terminated for blowing the whistle on widespread police supervisor misconduct, has swiftly filed a federal 1st amendment rights lawsuit. This is now one of several lawsuits brought on by wrongfully terminated good police officers that have fallen victim to this witch hunt and misconduct cover-up. Named in Officer Ricciuti’s suit are: the Town of Madison, Acting Chief / Consultant / Leader Nolan, and all the police commissioners complicit in this scam, including Chairman Geisenheimer.
